Class 1 from Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law set out on a wonderful outdoor adventure, hunting for the first signs of spring. Although the morning mist made spotting changes in the season a little tricky, our children were determined explorers — and their efforts paid off!
During their spring walk, the class discovered:
- Bright daffodils
- Delicate primroses
- Lots of birds singing in the trees
- A bird’s nest perched high in the branches
By the time the children reached the park, the sun had finally broken through the mist, making the perfect backdrop for some energetic fun. The highlight of the outing? Running down the big hill — a moment full of laughter, excitement, and happy faces.
A huge thank you to all the parents who joined the trip. Your support means so much, and we hope you enjoyed the morning just as much as the children did!
Back in the classroom this afternoon, Class 1 continued the spring theme by making their own cress heads to take home. With a little water and a bit of patience, the children should soon have fresh cress ready to enjoy — perfect for topping egg sarnies in no time.
What a lovely day of learning, exploring, and seasonal fun for our youngest pupils!
