Children from Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law enjoyed an exciting visit to Tow Law Community Centre on Tuesday, where they were invited to try out the centre's brand-new interactive screens ahead of their official launch. The pupils were delighted to be among the first to experience the new technology, exploring the screens' features through a range of interactive games and activities. From testing their skills to getting active and engaged, the children embraced every opportunity to have fun while discovering what the new equipment has to offer.
Class 4 Begins Building Model Bird Hides in Design and Technology
Pupils in Class 4 at Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law have been putting their design and technology skills into practice as they begin work on creating their own model bird hides. The project has seen children carefully plan, measure and construct their designs, applying the knowledge gained through their research to develop shelters that are strong, practical and well-camouflaged.

With the recent hot weather, firefighters spoke to the children about the dangers of swimming in rivers and other unsafe bodies of water. They explained what to do if they, or one of their friends, ever got into difficulty in the water.

Pupils from Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law have been making the most of an exciting and activity-filled residential visit to Derwent Hill in the Lake District, enjoying a day packed with adventure, teamwork and memorable experiences. The children experienced a fantastic day, taking part in a variety of activities designed to push them beyond their comfort zones. One of the standout highlights was the Death Swing, where pupils showed real courage as they faced their fears and encouraged one another to take part.

What We Get Up To at School – By Ryder
Over the year, as a school we do lots of trips out to places like Newcastle castle and the Beach. Every term we have a school disco, sometimes we dress up! There's always a tuck shop and activities to do like decorating a biscuit, name the teddy. In the summer term we have a summer fair.
