Our ECO Ambassadors at Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law took part in a fascinating workshop all about eco‑friendly glue, delivered by Simon from Nexus. The session helped the children understand how everyday classroom items can impact the environment — and what we can do to make more sustainable choices.
Learning About Eco‑Friendly Alternatives
At Blessed John Duckett, we aim to source refillable, eco‑friendly glue to reduce plastic waste and cut down on single‑use materials. During the workshop, our ECO Ambassadors learned why this is so important and how small changes in material choices can make a big difference.
Understanding Plastic Reduction and Recycling
The children explored key environmental topics such as:
- The importance of reducing plastic use
- How and why we recycle
- Ways we can cut down on glue waste in school
They were especially surprised to learn just how precious glue is in a school setting - and how using less helps both the environment andour resources.
Empowering Young Leaders
We are incredibly proud of our ECO Ambassadors for engaging thoughtfully with this workshop. Their passion and commitment to caring for God’s creation shines through in everything they do.
Well done, Ambassadors - thank you for helping us make Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law a greener, more sustainable community.
