Glo House in ConsettGlo House in Consett

On Wednesday, Class 4 from Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School in Tow Law enjoyed an exciting and inspiring trip to the Glo House in Consett, as part of their ongoing Market Makers project. The visit gave pupils the opportunity to explore new artistic skills, boost their creativity, and contribute to a real‑life marketplace experience.

The day was packed with hands‑on activities, and the children loved every moment of it. During their workshop sessions, they created a fantastic selection of items, including:

  • Lino‑printed tote bags
  • Beautiful canvases
  • Creative keyrings
  • Spray‑painted products designed especially for the school’s market stall

All of these handmade creations will be available to purchase at our Market Makers stall at Durham Market on Saturday 28th March. It’s a wonderful chance for the children to showcase their hard work and see their projects come to life in a real marketplace environment.

The trip was not only educational but also a lot of fun. It offered Class 4 the perfect opportunity to develop practical art skills, work collaboratively, and gain confidence in their own creative abilities.

A huge thank you to The Glo House for providing such an enjoyable and memorable experience for our pupils!
