Year 5 and 6 Join the Mini Police Project

Over the last three weeks, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at Blessed John Duckett Catholic Primary School have been taking part in the Mini Police project alongside officers from Durham Constabulary.

Don't worry – it wasn't because they were in trouble!

The programme is designed to help young people understand the role of the police and learn how they can make a positive contribution to their community.

Understanding Responsibilities and Making Positive Choices

Throughout the sessions, pupils learned about anti-social behaviour and the consequences that can arise when people choose to behave irresponsibly.

The project encouraged children to think about their role as citizens and the importance of making positive choices that benefit both themselves and those around them.

Thank You to Durham Constabulary

A huge thank you to Durham Constabulary for taking the time to work with our pupils and deliver such an engaging and informative programme.

The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part and gained a valuable understanding of policing, community responsibility and the positive impact they can have within their local area.
